How it works

the golfstars pathway

Most junior golf stops at lessons. The golfstars pathway is eight clear levels that carry a child from their very first swing to playing 18 holes with a real handicap — with the course getting longer only as they're ready for it.

The journey

From first swings to confident course play.

Eight levels, each one longer and more demanding than the last — from 50-yard pitch & putt holes all the way to 18 holes off the full tee.

Each level is built around five areas of learning

  • Teeing Off
  • Approach Play
  • Short Game
  • Attitude & Knowledge
  • Scoring Ability

How progress works

Golfers progress by demonstrating improvement across these areas during weekly coaching sessions, matchdays and on-course activities.

This structure promotes steady, meaningful development, ensuring progress is earned rather than rushed.

The same five areas remain at the heart of every level, with the challenge gradually increasing as golfers move through their own pathway.

Developing skills

As players develop their skills, the course evolves with them.

Through our Golfstars handicap system, tee positions are gradually lengthened in line with each player's improving handicap, ensuring the challenge increases at the right pace every step of the way.

Achieving a first golf handicap is a proud and exciting milestone for any young golfer, marking the start of their journey into structured golf, scoring, and competition.
